Rajat has had a controlled life. Coming from a family with an authoritative father, he's had almost no room to make his own decisions. Tara witnessed her father fragment after a failed marriage and now fears abandonment. Amrita, Tara's younger sibling, has always had few responsibilites and gotten her way.

Based in India in the '90s, this is the story of three people who set out to live their dreams but end up living like strangers under the same roof. While Rajat ends up torn between the two women, Tara slips into clinical depression. Amrita, who is pregnant with Rajat's child, is way past her delivery date but isn't able to deliver the child. All three are a living reminder to each other of the unhappiness they've created in each other's lives.
