A World Beyond Humans?

(Un monde sans Humains?)

Year 2012
Runtime 96 mins
Language French, English

Cyborgs are taking over: will you become one of them?

In A World Beyond Humans, director Philippe Borrel presents a dark look at the theory that our reliance on technology has made us a slave to “the machine.” Through expert interviews, Borrel explores the notion that, despite being invented by thinking humans, technology is advancing faster than we could have ever predicted. Through this, we confront the theory that human beings can be enhanced by technology to the point of becoming more than human, and that our physical evolution will not only come from biology—but from what we invent and integrate into ourselves.
