Throughout his life, he has worked on around 250 television and film productions and helped build the film industry in Western Canada, bringing over a billion dollars worth of production work into the province. John was flown to New Zealand to be the horse stunt coordinator for the battle scenes in Lord of the Rings 3, another academy award-winning film where he directed 400 horses and riders, surrounded by orcs.
