HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Calgary International Film Festival is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for its employees, volunteers, visitors and tenants. Calgary International Film Festival will comply with all applicable measures and procedures prescribed by all relevant health and safety legislation. Calgary International Film Festival will co-operate fully with the City of Calgary to ensure health and safety policies and activities are implemented and supported. 

Calgary International Film Festival Management shall:

  1. Help establish and maintain programs an procedures as required to identify and appropriately control workplace hazards and incidents.
  2. Require all staff, employees and volunteers to perform their work safely in accordance with legislated requirements and professional standards.
  3. Encourage staff, employees, and volunteers to identify potential workplace hazards, report all workplace incidents, and bring to Senior Management any workplace health and safety issues.
  4. Provide appropriate training and supervision to staff, employees, and volunteers with respect to workplace health and safety.
  5. Provide tools and equipment that are in good condition and are appropriate for the task.
  6. Establish, maintain, train, communicate, and regularly review a set of standing emergency and security procedures and ensure first aid kits are available and stocked and their locations known to staff, employees and volunteers.
