Andrew Long

Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers

Andrew Long is the Executive Director of the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers since 2022, Andrew is also an actor in film and television.  His career encompasses film festival management and programming; five years with the Canadian Film Centre; public art administration; overseeing grant and funding programs; live theatre, comedy, and puppetry.  He was once nearly arrested while working as a Charlie Chaplin impersonator, and he refused to say even a word aloud to the police.

Tasneem Rahim

Bow Valley College

Tasneem Rahim is Bow Valley College's Vice-President, External Engagement. Tas is gifted at stakeholder relations and leads the College’s major campaigns. In her role, she provides leadership to the Fund Development and Alumni Engagement, Sales and Workforce Solutions, Government and Community Relations as well as Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation teams.

Prior to joining the College, Tas was at the University of Calgary for over 6 years in Director of Development and Associate Director of Development roles, in addition to managing corporate sponsorship and gifts at the Aga Khan Foundation for several years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Culture from the University of Calgary and has been a Calgary’s Top 40 under 40 recipient.  

In a community and civic engagement capacity, as a volunteer, Tas is a member of the Board of Canadian Council for Advancement Education (appointed 2022) and is a member of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada's National Committee (appointed 2024).  Most recently Tas was a judge for Business in Calgary's Leaders Awards. She served 2 terms as a member of the Government of Alberta’s inaugural Anti-Racism Advisory Council for Alberta (2018-2022); She has also served as Communications Member on the Generations: Multi-Generational Housing and Community Centre Management Committee in Calgary from 2012-2019.  

Tas joined Bow Valley College in 2017.  She was recognized as one of the Calgary Herald's 2025 list of Compelling  Calgarians and as a Top 40 under 40 in 2007.

Damian Petti

IATSE Local 212

Damian Petti serves as the Second International Vice President of the 170,000 member International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE). He has worked in the entertainment industry as a technical director, production stage manager, sound technician, lighting designer and motion picture grip. In 1998, Petti was elected President of Calgary-based Local 212, a position he currently holds today. Petti graduated from the Mount Royal University theatre program with a specialization in production and has continued his studies at the University of Calgary. Mr. Petti has served terms as the Chair of the Alberta Film Advisory Council (AFAC) and as the Chair of the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Action Committee (ASIAC). Petti is currently a Director of the IATSE Canada Health Plan Inc and serves on the IATSE Disaster Response Committee team. In 2015, Petti became a Vice President of the Alberta Federation of Labour.

Tina Alford

Tina Alford is the Branch Representative for The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA). She has been an active member of the Alberta Screen Industry for over 20 years and is a passionate advocate for local performers and productions.
