Join us at the Indie Ignition Pitch Competition to see new entrepreneurs pitch their film and animation businesses to a panel of expert judges for a chance to win cash prizes! Our participants will be pitching a range of new projects, from podcasts, short films, and documentaries to virtual production!
Indie Ignition is Bow Valley College’s Digital Entertainment Accelerator Program. Designed to support new entrepreneurs in the film, animation, game development, and esports industries. The 12-week program takes founders through core business theory, ideation, validation, and entrepreneurial mindset development.
In partnership between CIFF and Bow Valley College, the pitch competition will both showcase the creativity and talent of Calgary’s film scene and connect our new founders directly to industry experts.
After the presentations are completed, our judges will deliberate and discuss the winners. During that time, spectators and pitch participants are invited to mix and mingle over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
Indie Ignition is supported by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund, Calgary Economic Development, and the City of Calgary.
