Jenny Steele
MODERATOR
Jenny Steele is a quadruple threat: Producer, Actress, Host and Voice Artist. Her media career started in front of the camera, hosting entertainment programs that brought her face to face with countless celebrities, including George Clooney, The Rock, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Soon Jenny was producing and co-creating her own programs, leading production teams that took programs from concept to completion (Celebrity Style Story and Styleography). Her work has been broadcast on almost every Canadian network, including E!, CTV, CityTV, CBC, OMNI, The Biography Channel and Sportsnet. She balances her busy producing career with her passion for acting and hosting. She’s appeared in countless commercials and print ads and landed roles on the TV shows, My Life with the Walter Boys, Heartland and Jann. You can catch her in the Hallmark film, Retreat To you, the theatrical feature film, Left Behind as well as the movies of the week, From Italy with Amore, Key to Love and the Lifetime movie, Dying in Plain Sight. Jenny is thrilled to continue her passion for storytelling and to help bring important and impactful stories to life.

Subiksha Subramani
Subiksha is a Calgary-based content creator and digital storyteller whose platform, QueerlySubiksha, unapologetically celebrates South Asian and queer identities. She has built a community of over 120K across Instagram and TikTok, creating content that is both deeply personal and widely relatable that bring up challenging conversations within the queer and South Asian communities, showcasing the complex realities of being queer and desi. She is also the founder of Rang De Pride, Calgary’s first South Asian queer organization, which amplifies queer voices and celebrates culture through events and dialogue. Professionally, she works as a Finance Manager, bringing the same analytical mindset and creativity that shape her online storytelling. By blending her South Asian roots with queer identity, she creates narratives that resonate locally in Calgary and ripple across global digital spaces, amplifying voices too often left unheard.

Salima Stanley-Bhanji
Salima (she/they) is a multiracial Moh'kins'tsis-based filmmaker and lawyer who is passionate about amplifying the identities of people who have been historically underrepresented. With over 50 awards and selections at film festivals internationally, Salima specializes in short-form documentary content and is the co-founder of nonprofit Humainologie. She is also the co-Creator of SHADES: Amplify Her, a short film series which centres and celebrates Black, racialized and queer Moh’kins’tsis women, premiering its third season at CIFF ’25. Recipient of a Calgary Influential Women in Business Award, TEDx speaker, DJ and mother, Salima identifies as a generalist and a regular ‘busy person’. Working with small teams, she experiences AI as an extra team member, available 24-7, and in many cases, creating shortcuts and access in previously gate-kept places.

Gbohunmi
Beginning his career as an editor, Gbohunmi, a Canadian-based Nigerian-born artist, creates in film and photography. Gbohunmi’s skills, imagination, and drive to create push him to experimenting in different forms. From street to fashion photography, narrative films to music videos, Gbohunmi seizes every opportunity to express his creativity through his lens. His art photography has been exhibited in Western Canada's largest performing art centre (Werklund Centre), while his films have premiered at notable galleries (The Photographers Gallery) and international film festivals (CIFF). Gbohunmi combines his skills in film and photography to develop a style that is bold, arresting, and layered.

Eman Safadi
Eman Safadi is a producer and talent manager based in Calgary, AB. She has a proven track record in corporate business development, nonprofit management and fund development across different continents. As co-founder of FOREIGNERZ, an art and production house, Eman oversees production and operations, leading various film projects and music videos. In addition to her work as a manager and co-founder of FOREIGNERZ, Eman is actively involved in the arts community. Eman has led workshops and panel discussions at several notable Calgary institutions, such as Arts Commons, The GRAND, and Sled Island Music Festival. Her commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in film, music and artmaking reflects her values and dedication to community service.
