Jennifer Haffenden

Jennifer Haffenden is a Canadian Screen Award-winning costume designer for film and television. Jennifer has earned a reputation for her authentic designs from past, present and future; for finessing the smallest details; and for her nuanced use of texture and colour. She’s also known for doing deep dives ib to research and has a penchant for ageing and distressing costumes.

Jennifer's B.A.A. in Fashion Design and B.Comm. in Marketing from Toronto Metropolitan University gave her a fantastic foundation of skills and creative muscle. Her iconic costume designs for the fan favourite sci-fi series Wynonna Earp garnered her considerable attention. Jennifer loves pushing the envelope in a variety of genres, with designs running the gamut from the Masters of Horror anthology series Fear Itself, to the early 60s drama Fortunate Son, to children's theatre in Japan, to the stunt-laden scenes in the upcoming feature Wind River: The Next Chapter.

Recently Jennifer was thrilled to create animal costumes with a tongue-in-cheek homemade aesthetic for the comedy short Now I am a Bear for acclaimed Screenwriter/Director Jason Filiatrault. She’s excited to be currently designing Season 3 of Netflix’s hit series My Life with the Walter Boys.

She became a member of IATSE in 2017 and since then has worked consistently as a member, gaining a wealth of experience within the costume department in many different positions on a variety of different kinds of projects.

A selection of her film credits  includes:  Wynonna Earp, My LIfe With The Walter Boys, Togo, Under the Banner of Heaven, Black Summer, Fortunate Son & The Last of Us. She received multiple award nominations for her first feature, the 2023 Indie horror film Dark Nature, and more recently, designed costumes for The Wild Sheriff which appears at CIFF this year as part of the We (Are) a Family shorts package.

Teigan Blondin de Boer

Teigan Blondin de Boer is a multidisciplinary artist with a background in film and theatre production. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a BFA in Theatre Production and went on to work in various theatre disciplines for 10 years before moving into film and television. Teigan’s love of costumes and creating the unexpected out of unintended items led her to work with puppetry, cosplay, circus and TYA. Today you can find Teigan on set brandishing a breakdown tool, a blood kit or something else in between. Recent favourite film projects include working on This too Shall Pass, Wynonna Earp, My Life with the Walter Boys and Wind River 2. Her favourite days on set involve making a mess be it with blood, dirt, water, slime or something else. Anything for the shot really.
