Shot at night across the rooftops of Tel Aviv, NAZA exposes the systems and technologies behind Israel’s bombing of Gaza and the mass killing of Palestinian civilians. Directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, two of the four co-directors of the 2024 Oscar-winning documentary NO OTHER LAND, the film offers a chilling investigation into the mechanisms that make large-scale airstrikes possible—and the human cost hidden behind them.

The film takes its title from a military acronym reportedly used by Israeli intelligence to indicate the number of civilians expected to be killed in an airstrike. Drawing on revelations first reported by Israeli-Palestinian publication +972 Magazine, Hebrew-language outlet Local Call, and The Guardian between 2023 and 2025, NAZA traces the systems behind these devastating calculations.

Produced by The Guardian and James Wilson (JW Films), and executive produced by Jonathan Glazer, it reunites the Oscar-winning team behind THE ZONE OF INTEREST (CIFF First Look, 2024) for an urgent examination of the machinery of war.
