Marie-Lou, director of a nursing home, is determined to introduce Humanitude—an innovative philosophy of care rooted in listening, empathy, and respect for residents' dignity—despite resistance from her staff. Her convictions are put to the test when she meets Mari, a Japanese playwright and theatre director facing a terminal cancer diagnosis.
