Every Wednesday, a diverse group of senior women gathers for Happy Hour. WWW can mean Women’s Wine Wednesdays, Women’s Wild Wednesdays, or Women’s Wise Wednesdays—depending on who you ask. What matters most, however, is the friendship they have built: a space to laugh, share hard-won wisdom, and support one another in an increasingly isolated and divided world.
The WWW women venture through Calgary’s Kensington neighbourhood, with its lively bars, cafés, and beloved Plaza Theatre. Strong-willed, opinionated and fiercely independent, they come from different backgrounds and life experiences. Some are married, some single, but all share the joys and challenges of growing older as their friendships deepen.
Filled with laughter and warmth, WWW: THE WOMEN’S GROUP also makes room for heartbreak. The women speak candidly about the loss of partners, divorce, loneliness, and the often-surprising realities of dating later in life. Above all, this is a celebration of friendship, resilience and community—and of women who continue to embrace life with passion, humour and courage.
