In the aftermath of the 1973 Chilean coup d'état, an Air Force logistics officer is ordered to convert a hangar into a detention and torture center. As repression tightens, he is forced to confront obedience, loyalty, and the moral cost of a nation descending into dictatorship.

RED HANGAR is the fiction feature debut of Chilean director, producer and screenwriter Juan Pablo Sallato, previously known for his documentary work. Based on true events and Fernando Villagrán's book Disparen a la Bandada, the film stars Nicolás Zárate as Captain Jorge Silva. It had its world premiere in the Perspectives section at the 2026 Berlinale, and went on to win four awards at the Málaga Film Festival, including Best Actor for Zárate, as well as Best Ibero-American Film at the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
