Ingeborg and Adam are visionary hand surgeons bound by love, control and irresistible fixations. She is compelled to steal objects; he longs to become one. When an accident brings the enigmatic Gaia into their lives, unexpected desires begin to take shape, unsettling the careful balance that has long defined their relationship.

Directed by CIFF alum Ann Oren, whose narrative feature debut PIAFFE (CIFF 2022) premiered at Locarno Film Festival's International Competition and won numerous awards, including the International Narrative Feature Award at CIFF. OBJET A is her second narrative feature, starring Aenne Schwarz, Louis Hofmann, and Simone Bucio (PIAFFE, CIFF 2022), and continues Oren's exploration of desire and the human body as cinematic language. The film also premiered in competition at the Locarno Film Festival 2026.
