Maisie’s life is uneventful. She works at a clothing store, spends too much time on her phone, and hangs out with her boyfriend when their schedules line up. But despite everything appearing normal, Maisie can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong. Her lipstick feels different, she can’t get an unidentifiable pop song out of her head, and her cat isn’t as affectionate as before. Eventually convinced that someone has replaced her cat with a doppelgänger, Maisie hires a private investigator to confirm her suspicions. As Maisie pulls back the curtain, she discovers that her relationships and reality have been rendered even more artificial than she feared.
2022 Slamdance Film Festival Breakout winner Adrian Murray (RETROGRADE) returns with a haunting and hypnotic new feature.
