This short film is included in the following package(s): SHORTS: CELEBRATE THE DREAMER
Fireflies is an experimental short film that translates the fleeting afterimage of light into a handcrafted moving image, made from over 2,700 photographed paper frames.
Set in the blue hour between day and night, the film follows a quiet neighborhood visited by fireflies and ghostly lights. Drawing on the way a bright light burns into the eye and lingers as it fades, the film explores how light passing through paper intensifies while darkness dissolves into abstraction. Fireflies invites viewers to close their eyes and discover what remains in the dark.
