Filmed throughout the 2024 season, SAINTS AND WARRIORS tells an intimate and sweeping story of how basketball has become the heartbeat of contemporary culture on the remote Indigenous nation of Haida Gwaii.
The Skidegate Saints are perennial favourites to win the highly competitive All Native Basketball Tournament. The Saints are more than basketball players, however. They're leaders off the court as well: coaching younger players; taking on responsibilities in the community, and defending the nation's land and water rights.
