Audacious and controversial, Welcome to New York imagines the very private moments of a very publicly reported 2011 encounter between a high-ranking French official and a New York hotel maid.

Director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, King of New York) plays fast and loose with his creative license, painting a grim portrait of power without restraint while Depardieu and veteran actress Jacqueline Bisset are at the top of their game.
