After 20 years apart, a son returns to his father’s flood-ravaged Romanian village to help rebuild both his home and their relationship.

When his mother dies, Ticu reunites with his father, Costache, in his flood-ravaged Romanian village. The reunion marks Costache’s first meeting with Ticu’s wife and son. Faced with high expectations, the father and son’s relationship remains strained, until Costache is presented with a special toy that starts to bring the family together. The aging patriarch is afforded a rare opportunity for vulnerability and honest reflection when he gets the help he needs to rebuild both his home and relationship with his son.
