Returning to his “taxidermy museum” childhood home, Tyler sorts through the relics of
generations past as memories of his grandmother’s dementia resurface. Old photographs,
skulls, unsettling dolls, dusty film reels, and unwelcome social media notifications bury
him in a mountain of loss. Blending 2D, 3D, and rotoscoped animation, Renderfamily is an
autobiographical reflection on grief, memory, and the uneasy task of honouring the dead
without being buried alongside them.
