In Churchill, Manitoba, a polar bear is forced to navigate a human world of tourists, wildlife officers, and hunters as its ancient migration collides with modern life. When a sacred predator is branded a nuisance, it becomes unclear who truly belongs in this shared landscape.
From directors Jack Weisman and Gabriela Osio Vanden and based on the short film of the same name (CIFF 2021), this beautifully shot USA / Canadian co-production took home the Grand Jury Prize for Best U.S. Documentary at Sundance 2026.
