Charlie Kaufman (SYNECDOCHE, NEW YORK) weaves together artistic through lines by reuniting with poet and writer Eva H.D. following their 2023 short film JACKALS & FIREFLIES, and by collaborating once again with actor Jessie Buckley, marking their first project together since the 2020 film I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS.

Two newly deceased young people—one a translator, the other a photographer—were outsiders in life. In death, they grapple with the lingering weight of their longings and regrets. As they wander the city together, they find solace in the difficult beauty of existence and all that comes after.
