Inspired by Francis Ford Coppola's concept of “Live Cinema,” BROTHER VERSES BROTHER is a radically personal musical odyssey. Two combative twin musicians search for their dying poet father in a single, unbroken shot—an improvised performance by the director’s own family, unfolding in real time through the streets of San Francisco.
One brother craves love and excitement, while the other longs to disappear into his music. As night falls and their father remains missing, their frantic journey takes them from the hidden haunts of Beat poets to the emotional core of their family. What begins as a search becomes a testament to the power of music, brotherhood, and the lifeblood of a city—experienced by the viewer moment by moment.
