Scarlet’s mum has just died, leaving her with two cats, a funeral to organize and a visit from the taxman. Her Godmothers have formed what can only be described as a coven. It’s like Scarlet’s mum is the popular girl at school and they’re competing for the title of the best friend, but they’re middle-aged women and she’s dead. Scarlet organizes her mum’s funeral with these well-intentioned witches. Simultaneously realizing if you have a crush on a boy and your mum dies, you still have a crush on a boy, you just also have a dead mum.

Writer and lead actress Molly O'Shea has crafted a witty emotional short that allows for some great scenes with the solid secondary cast including T'nia Miller (SEX EDUCATION), Alex Lawther (IT'S THE F**KING END OF THE WORLD), and Ben Whishaw (THE LOBSTER, CIFF 2015).
